This Monday morning has been a busy one here. I enjoyed a visit from my neighbor and friend, Jerry Miller, who said she had stopped in to see Mearl and Beaulah Satterfield and another neighbors also.

My nephew, Jonathon Aronis, came by as he made deliveries in Arkansas to visit and we did some researching of a relative I had wanted help with  and to learn more about our ancestry.

Kristin Luebbert, Dana Taylor and I enjoyed visiting my former neighbors, Bob and Cheryl Katon, who now live in West Plains, when we were in town doing some shopping last Tuesday. We had lunch with Bonnie and Joyce Taylor who met us at a restaurant.

Kristin and Karen Davis met Dana in West Plains Wednesday to spend the day together.

Sympathy to the family of Vada White. Burial was in Lilly Ridge Cemetery Friday.

Lilly Ridge Church ladies are working at the Senior Citizens this Thursday and Friday.

A queen size quilt which was made and donated by Ted and Ethel DeWeese is displayed at Lilly Ridge Church.

October 6-Oct. 10 is Lilly Ridge Revival time, beginning at 6:00 p.m. Sunday evening and at 7:00 the other nights.

Marlyn and Charlene Pitcock and Kristin Luebbert flew from Branson-Springfield airport Friday evening for Portland, Oregon and are spending this week at Tillamook and Bay City, oyster capital of the states, very near the Pacific Ocean.

Recent propane prices are probably at the lowest prices before cooler weather demands filling up tanks as fall is here. Due to dry weather leaves are falling from shade trees in my yard already.

Happy Birthday to Maxine Smith this Monday, Sept. 30th and my grandson-in-law, Chet Taylor, Oct. 4th, great-granddaughter, Cindy Hensley, has a birthday Oct. 6th.

The DOW Extension Club Achievement Day will be Oct. 5th in Ava.

The quilt show in the courtroom was visited by 400 people who signed in The Friendly Neighbors Extension Club.

An event took place in 1908 when the Model T Ford car was manufactured and introduced.

Clusters of yellowjackets have been elimnated in traps that daughter Kristin and granddaughter, Dana, hung in the pear tree near their nests.
