Senior Center News

We hope everyone enjoyed the chicken dinner sponsored by the VFW on Friday September 27th.

The senior center appreciates the VFW and their service to our community.

We love to see our community support these efforts to provide a meal to the seniors and people of our community. You do not have to be 60 years of age to eat at the senior center.

We offer several services to the senior population and encourage them to participate in our different programs as well as our meal program. Our meal program starts at 11:15 a.m. and ends at 12:15 p.m. Monday through Friday.

Senior boxes will be available October 8th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Annual Medicare Part D open enrollment begins on October 15th and runs through December 7th.  Please be sure to review your current plan to see if your program will be remaining the same for the coming year. If you would like to compare your Medicare Part D or Medicare Advantage plans for the coming year beginning January 1st, please make an appointment go over this with our Medicare Counselor who will be taking appointments starting on October 16th and continuing through December 7th.  Please be sure to call the center at 417-683-5712 for an appointment to review your current plan or get a comparison on a new plan.

We have several activities this month including pinochle games, line dancing, pitch games, and flu shots.  We also have a music jam session on Monday nights starting at 6:00 p.m.
