After opening church with prayer and singing, we studied in our Sunday school classes about the promise to Abraham and Sarah and to see God’s work with people of great faith in seemingly impossible situations.

Happy Birthday wishes went out to Doug Miller.

Specials was by Bro. Bob Huskey and one by Dana Ripee, Haley and Jackson Beard.

Remember our hayride Saturday, October 19 at Bob Leonard Farm. Bring a dish, we will eat at 5 p.m. and hayride at 6 p.m.

October 18th is our Third Friday Night Singing at 7 p.m. with snacks afterwards.

Many attended the memorial service for Janet Perry Tuesday with Rev. Bob Huskey officiating.

Gentry Church went to the nursing home to sing Sunday at 2 p.m. We enjoy that so much and those patients just make our day.

Our morning messsage was by Bro. Cory Yates from John, chapter 8. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. Ask for God’s direction and make a difference in your life. Be a friend to somebody and lift them up.

In our evening service our special was by quartet made up of Narvil Tetrick, Bob Huskey, Joie and Rod Welker. Also one by Pauline Welker and Dennis Shumate and one by Dennis and Sandy Shumate.

It was nice to have Bro. Cory Yates and his nice family with us again and his evening message was from Mark, chapter 5. This woman needed healing and said if I could touch the hem of Jesus’ garment, she did and was healed immediately. May we all have the strong faith as this woman had.
