Caney Church News

Once again God has been good to let us meet in His house. He has blessed us with health and safety.

Wednesday evening service began with singing praises to the Lord.

Our leader Bro. Hi Lambeth welcomed everyone and took prayer requests and praise reports. We have many concerns to bring before Him. Sis. Melba Austin led us in prayer.

Bro. Hi read Jeremiah 14:1-22.

This reading tells what happens when God’s people turn away from Him. God’s judgment can be terrible. Christians and America needs to wake up judgement is coming.

Wonderful scriptures were read and thoughtful things said. We have a good time trying to learn more of God’s word.

Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were given. Bro. Jeff Shipley led us in prayer.

Jack read Isaiah 51:1-5 for our devotion and prayed that our nation would listen to God and where He leads.

Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received. She is a blessing. It is so great to watch her grow.

Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jeff Shipley and Tracy Shipley. We moved on to singing praises to the Lord. Special music was by Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin spoke this morning from Numbers 32:16. He spoke of what a great inheritance God has prepared for His children. Our Heavenly inheritance is so much better than our earthly. We are on our way to Canaan’s Land.

Sunday evening service opened with prayer then the music began. Crosstimbers is a talented group of Christian men.

We were so glad for the guests. We had a good crowd, good food and wonderful fellowship.

Next Sunday will be our annual hayride. Lunch after service. Sunday morning Bro. Josh Hume will speak for us on Caney Mountain. All are welcome.
