Black Oak Church

“These six things doth the Lord hate; yea, seven are an abomination unto Him. A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood. A heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, a false witness that speaketh lies, and he that sows dicord among the brethren,” Proverbs 6:6-14.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. He read Isaiah 51:1-6 for the devotion then dismissed us to class.

We had the following prayer requests; Howard Strong, Fanya Scott, Pastor David, Floyd Graham, Gene Pool, Jo Stephens, Pete Turley and family, Beverly, Wilma Sanders, bereaved, unsaved, unspoken, country and leaders, military and each other.

Pastor David was out sick so Brother Dennis filled in for him. Sunday eveing he preached from Mark 5:1-20. Jesus knows our heart. He loves every soul on this earth. At His name Satan has to flee. He loves us so much. A very good message from God.

Brother Bobby Turley took up the tithes and offering.

Liviya Wharton and Zoe Shull did the penny march for Camp Piland. We had good testimonies.

I’m thankful for all of the helpers at church.

Our hayride and hot dog roast is Sunday, Oct. 20th at 6:30 p.m. Some will gather earlier to get the fire going.

May God greatly bless you all this week. Please remember to thank Him everyday.
