Ava Kiwanis Club News

Greetings from Kiwanis Club of Ava!  Rick and Glenda cooked funnelcakes Friday night at the game to benefit Project Graduation and Rick will be there again this Friday night for the last home game.
We have another busy week of activities this week.  From late Friday afternoon until it’s over, then again all day on Saturday, we will have our booth at the fair.  In addition to the funnelcakes, we’ll have Red Diamond iced tea, Frito pies and chili dogs for sale.  Some of our members may also attend Glade Top Trail on Sunday.
At this week’s meeting, we’re expecting Mr. Aaron Dalton and October Citizens of the Month.  On Monday, Oct. 21, we’ll be recognizing Terrific Kids at Skyline at 10 a.m. and Plainview at 2 p.m.
We are always busy “serving the children of the world.” If you have an interest in children and think you might like to become involved, feel free to visit any upcoming meetings held on Thursdays at noon in the back room at Krazy Daze Cafe.  There will be no obligation to join for attending a meeting.
If you know of a program you think would be of interest to our members and the community, please contact Donna Dixon at 683-1918 to schedule a date. Visit our Facebook page by typing in “Ava Kiwanis” in the search box and be sure to “like” our page.  Have a great week!
