You know, time flies by so fast. The frost is on the pumpkins already and Thanksgiving and Christmas are around the corner once again. How does that time gets away from us? We always think there’s plenty of time to do all the things we need to do. But time is fleeting and we need to be aware that if we don’t act now, there may not be another chance to do what we need to do. Bro. Oren’s message from 1 Cor. 16:1-9 talked about acting now. We need to be ready and willing to be an effective servant. Take time to listen to God and give Him your heart. We must all be ready to act on the call He gives us and don’t hesitate. There may not be a tomorrow to make up for what we don’t do today. Don’t keep putting God aside because one day, the offer of salvation may be lost to you. Get the assurance of God’s eternal grace and be ready when He comes back.
Sunday evening we had the music of Tex and Mary in concert. We really appreciate their willingness to come and share their ministry of song and praise. Thank you so much. Of course afterwards we did what Baptists do so well. We had fellowship and food!
Remember that Friend Day is Nov. 3rd so be in prayer about who you will invite for that service which reminds us how special our friends are. Invite others to worship with you.
On Saturday, Nov 9th, there will be a special training session for our audio system at 10am. I believe we will have the professionals coming from A-1 in the Branson area. If anyone wishes to be a part of our audio ministry which serves our worship services, we welcome you to that training session. If you have any questions you can contact Noel Dye.
You know we have so many people who serve the Lord by serving in our church and community. We want to say thank you to all our Sunday school teachers, children’s and youth workers, singers, song leaders, musicians, those who do cleaning and maintenance and everyone who works behind the scenes with budgets and all the committees that it takes to keep our church functioning. Also, we never want to forget those who are faithful to pray for others, those who prepare and serve food to grieving families in need, encouragers who give others strength when it’s needed and so many who are just so faithful in their walk with the Lord that others can see the life they want.
We have a full prayer list as usual so please remember as many as you can this week. Several who are home bound or in nursing homes often get discouraged so they need to feel your prayers. Pray for Logan Brown as he’s recovering and Bud Clinkingbeard who will be having open heart surgery again as well as for Norman Alcorn and his family. Pray for our nation’s leaders and our missions everywhere.
We hope you have a wonderful week, full of blessings and joy in the Lord. Look within and if you’re not where you should be with God, please don’t wait another day. You may not get another chance. Seek forgiveness and put yourself in the hands of Jesus.
See you Sunday! God Bless.
