Sandy Church News

At 9:30, we came together to pray.  We stood to read our devotional from Matthew 6, but seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness and all these things will be added unto you, a verse Pastor Neal gives us often.

Prayer requests were taken.  Many need a special touch from our Good Lord.  Happy birthday was sung to Connie Johnson.  After Sunday school classes, we came together with others who came in.  Aaron Humbyrd prayed the offertory prayer as he and Daniel Wilson received our Lord’s tithes and offerings with LeAnn Crum at the piano.  Testimonies were shared and prayer requests were given.  Stan Humbyrd gave a testimony about our role models and led us in song, To Be Like Jesus.

Pastor Neal prayed and read from Hebrews 1, who is Jesus, who are the angels and who is Satan—this we truly need to know and understand.

Brad and Patty Siler were in children’s church.  We were glad to have visitors from Illinois, Doug Scott and his family was visiting his mom, Peggy Miller and sister, Kim Humbyrd.

At 6 p.m., we began with prayer followed by singing and then Pastor Neal continued in Hebrews 1, who is Jesus?  September 14 is a fundraising day for Options Pregnancy Center in Ava.  The church will be helping with that.

Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer time and Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study from Exodus.  Come and worship with us.  You are welcome in our Lord’s house.
