A good morning to all our friends, neighbors and our readers. We hope everyone had a great weekend and a safe one.

We send get-well wishes to all the sick, the ones in the hospitals and the nursing homes.

Our sympathy to all who who have lost loved ones. May God bless you in your time of sorrow. Our thoughts are with you.

We send greetings to everyone who have a great day with many more to come is our wish for you.

This news from the desk of Lois Graham. Mr. and Mrs. Dustin Tompkins and daughter, Alyssa, of Oklahoma visited Lois Graham on Monday. They had been to the nursing home to see Floyd Graham, Gina’s grandpa.

And now to the adventures of Norma. I, Norma, had a busy weekend and enjoyed every minute of it. To start with on Friday morning I went to school at Ava to spend the morning with Jacob Watkins for Grandparent’s Day. They performed a song about grandma going to the fair and did a great job. They then drew our hand and made a  picture for us by placing their hand on ours. We had lunch together then to the playground. I left there and went and got Steven and we went to Skyline to be with Lane Watkins in the afternoon. While there we made another picture by using the hand to make branches for the family tree. The children painted their hand green and placed it above the trunk that they had painted brown then finished it up by placing apples with names on them to the branches. We had cookies and punch for a snack.

After school Steven and I, Norma, had the evening meal with Arlen “Bud” Watkins and family.

On Saturday, part of the family met at the Senior Citizens Center for breakfast to benefit the Miles For Meals.

On Sunday ater church I, Norma, attended the benefit program for the Levelle Family at Marriott Music on the square then to church for the evening.

Have a good weekend and try to stay cool in the heat.

Jesus loves you.
