Caney Church

Caney Church came together Wednesday evening to praise the Lord and study His Holy Word.

Bro. Bill Austin took charge of the services by taking prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer. Sis. Krista Grider was our leader. She read Lev. 23. Col. 2:16 and Matt. 24:42. She taught how God wants to meet with us in His seasons, to draw closer to the Lord. She taught on the different festivals the Lord has set aside. Repent, examine ourselves, be ready to meet the Lord. We don’t know when Jesus is coming back. Pray for ourselves, our nation and Israel. It was a very interesting lesson.

Everyone had wonderful scriptures and good thoughts they shared.

We are sorry more don’t come and join in our good services. We may be few, but we are blessed with God’s spirit.

We sang for the opening of Sunday school. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed all to service. He took prayer requests and praise reports. We have many concerns. Our nation stands in need of prayer as well as the lost, bereaved and sick. Sis. Janice Lafferty led in prayer. Jack read Matthew 6:25-34 for our devotion. It is good to know Jesus will care for us.

After a wonderful Sunday school lesson Happy Birthday was sung to Doris Lambeth. God bless her. Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received.

Praise and Worship began with testimonies by Jeff Shipley, Elsie Roberts and Janice Lafferty. After these good testimonies congregational singing began. Pastor Bill Austin brought the morning message from Luke 15:8-10, I Cor. 15:45-54. The angels in Heaven rejoices over one soul that repents just like that coin was precious to the woman so are you precious to Christ. We can have vicotry in Christ. So many people even some in church are lost. We need to help shine a light around so others can see Christ. Be a candle to others in darkness, Christ is that light. It was a wonderful message. Bro. Jeff Shipley welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Hi Lambeth led in prayer. Testimonies were given by Janice Lafferty and Melba Austin.

Bro. Jack Essary was our speaker Sunday evening from Isaiah 43:1-12. The Lord is with us through the good and bad times. He made us and loves us and if we repent and follow Him He will gather us to Him. Witness God’s love to others. Heaven is to gain, Hell is to shun. If there is one there is the other, forever is a long time. Choose today to serve the Lord.

Come worship with us at Caney. You are welcome.
