Black Oak Church

“Behold, the man is become one of us, to know good and evil,” Genesis 3:22.

Life is a constant battle between good and evil. We choose the one we want. Sometimes we are affected by the evil of others, but God is there with us.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. He read Deuteronomy 30:11-20 for the devotion then dismissed us to class.

The children are studying about being Fishers of Men.

We sang Happy Birthday to Wyatt Wharton.

Liviya Wharton did the Penny March for Camp Piland.

Brother Bobby Turley took up the tihes and offering.

We had good testimonies in both services.

Please remember the following in prayer: Pete Turley and family, Betty Satterfield, Floyd Graham, John Little, Ernest and Dara Strong, Mindy Stout, Jo Stephens, Gene Pool, Chad Rogers, Wilma Sanders, Roy Frye, unsaved, unspoken, sick and bereaved, military, country and leaders and each other.

Also for the upcoming events Fifth Sunday Meeting at Romance, Revivals, Oct. 25 kids grade 7-12 arrive at Camp Piland at 4:00 to prepare for Camp Piland Family Reunion Family Day on Oct. 26th.

Pastor David sang then preached from Psalm 34:1-8. When we become a Christian we put God first in our life and realize every good thing is from Him. He gives us strength and protection, joy and a spiritual family to worship and grow with. John 10:28 tells us as His sheep we will not perish.

Sunday evening we sang together then Pastor David sang and read Psalm 19.

May God bless you all and I pray if you don’t know Him you will seek Him and find Him.
