We will have our missionary, Miss Karen Nelson at our church next Sunday.  We are very excited to hear about her years training in Costa Rica.

Our deepest sympathies to the families of Frank McDaniel, Freda Clayton and Frederick Etzenhouser.

Mrs. Alene Turner began services by reading John 14: 15-21.

Our Sunday School lesson this week was about Jesus Commissions His Church.  Please read Luke 24: 44-49, Acts 1: 6-8, 2: 41-47.

Did you know that you and I are God’s church.  He lives in us and He has things for us to do while we are here on this earth.  It is very easy to make excuses why we aren’t doing these things.  We use excuses like…..I don’t know what God wants me to do or I may fail or I’ll leave it up to someone else that is better suited or qualified than I am.  We are going to have to GET UP AND DO SOMETHING FOR GOD TODAY!  What will you choose to do today, who will you tell the good news of Jesus to?

Our sermon today was about Acts of Mercy.  Whatever opportunity God put in front of you, you better do it.  Each person has the responsibility to further the Kingdom of God.  What doors has God opened for you this week to help someone?  You don’t have to be wealthy to help someone.  Sometimes people just need a kind word, sometimes more.  Sometimes people may need food, clothing or shelter.  Do you have extra?  Can you think of someone today that can use your help or your kind words?  We sometimes resist helping people because we think they may not use the help in a good way.  If you help someone and they do bad things with it, that is their decision, not yours.  You helped with a good heart and God will bless you for it.

If you don’t have a church home, please join us for Sunday School at 10 a.m. and Worship Services at 11 a.m. with Pastor Barry DeWeese.
