A surprise golf outing was facilitated last Thursday by current and retired troopers of the Missouri Highway Patrol. The group gathered at the Ava Country Club to honor and recognize zone sergeant, Keith Jones, who is retiring. Those participating in the occasion are shown above, l to r: front row, Ashley Philpott, Keith Jones, Daniel Johnson, Charley Hogue, and Amye Johnson; back row, Jason Philpott, Mark Inman, Jim Britt, Lionel Daugherty, Ronnie Mast, Ryan Vaughan, Don Jones, Ava Police Chief Reggie Johnson, who made a brief visit, and Mark Philpott. During the morning, the group, enjoyed a competitive round of golf, and afterwards gathered in the club house where they ate lunch and reminisced. Jones is retiring after 27 years with the patrol.
