Several from our church attended the wedding of Samantha Dobbs and Joey Ledford on Saturday night. Casey Dobbs, with his cowboy hat, stole the show next to the Bride, of course.
Brad Siler began our Lord’s Day service with prayer requests. There were many needs as always and praises were also given. After the reading of our devotional, we sang happy birthday to Debbie Pitts and happy anniversary to Doyle and Frances and Aaron and Jenin Humbyrd. It was Food Harvest items collection day. Next Friday night at 6 p.m. is Family night. School items have been purchased by the church with backpack to be given to all school kids. A meal of tacos and games will be shared by Stan and Kim Humbyrd, our children church directors.
Aaron Humbyrd prayed the offertory prayer as he and Daniel Wilson received our Lord’s tithes and offerings following Sunday school.
Pastor Neal said, “It was so good to be in the Lord’s house—a good way to start our week by putting God first, which we must do”. Testimonies and praises were given.
Danny Johnson led us in song.
LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang.
Pastor Neal read from the book of Isaiah, a suffering Savior. He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon Him and with His stripes we are healed. All we like sheep have gone astray. We have turned every one to is own way and the Lord has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.
At 6 p.m., Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing and testimonies.
Elane and Neal Crum sang. He read from John 4 and Deuteronomy. Jesus said, “I have meat to eat that you know not of; my meat is to do His will and finish it”.
Next Sunday is backpack items collection for Plainview School and our monthly fellowship dinner for all birthdays and anniversaries for August. Tuesday at 7 p.m. is prayer meeting and Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study.
Come and worship with us.
