A nice, cool morning this August 20th. We’ve had a wonderful summer so far. Just opposite of 2012.

Don’t know much news, but will try to write something.

Not many at church Sunday, but we had a good sermon and good singing.

Bertha and Dean Scherer went to West Plains Sunday and met their friend, Sheila and had lunch with her.

Ann Collins stayed all night Thursday with Carol Wise and Riley in Mountain Grove. They went to Springfield on Friday. Ann had a doctor’s appointment.

We extend our sympathy to the Darrell Bell family. His funeral was Saturday at West Plains.

Janet Smith visited me one evening recently. She is teaching a special class at Dora School again this year, two days a week.

I enjoyed the picnic at Skyline on Saturday night, August 10th. Carol came down and took Ann Collins and I. They had some good bands.

Birthdays this month: Cale Bradshaw was the 2nd, Amanda Russell was 15 on the 8th, Wesley Heath the 18th and my daughter, Patty Stephens’ is on the 28th.

Get-well wishes to Louise Hutchison, she has had another stroke.

“God gave us the gift of memory so we could enjoy roses in December.”

Until next time, take care and God bless.
