Gentry News

After opening with prayer and singing we studied in our Sunday school class about Nehemiah and the dedication of the wall and the praises, joy, goodness and blessings of the Lord in leading and helping them to build it.

Birthday wishes went out to Chloe Young and Beverly Tetrick.

Thursday night at 5:30 p.m. Gentry is to bring desserts to go with the meal for the Ava Football Team. Go Bears!

Remember Janet Perry in your prayers and also Doug Miller is really having severe back problems. Many requests were sent up to the Lord.

Our special song was by the Men’s Quartet, Narvil Tetrick, Wendell Deo and Joie and Rod Welker.

The Fourth Sunday Singing will be held at Faith Rock at 2 p.m.

Gentry Church was chosen for the church of the month to be served Sunday dinner from the Ava Assembly of God Church. It was a surprise and we appreciate the kindness and the ministry and fellowship you are showing to others.

Bringing our morning message was Bro. Justin Adams from Joshua, chapter 8. The word of god is foundational, beneficial, instructional, and it’s essential. We have to remember to always keep the Lord in our lives.

In our evening service our special was by the Gentry Choir. Bro. Adams’ evening message was from Proverbs, chapter 22. A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches. The people should be able to see Jesus in us.
