Gentry News

After opening our service with prayer and singing, we studied in our Sunday school classes about confession of sins. The people started out with praising who God is, what He had done and what He will do if they obeyed.

Happy Birthday wishes went out to Narvil Tetrick.

Our third Friday night singing will be at 7 p.m. on the 16th wish snacks afterwards, everyone is invited.

Harley Allen’s sister, Betty, is in the hospital so keep her in prayer. We were glad to see Beverly Tetrick back in church and feeling better. We really missed her and want her to know everyone appreciates the many things she does for the church.

Our special songs were by Glen Dale Robertson, Bill Coats and Bob Huskey. Glen Dale and Bill were here representing the Gideons and we appreciated all the testimonies given. There is not another book as important and had an impact on people’s lives as the Bible.

Joie and Stacie Welker just returned home from a vacation to Utah where Joie played in the World Horseshoe Tournament. While they were there they saw the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Bryce Canyon and many other places.

Our guest speaker next Sunday the 18th will be Bro. Justin Adams.

In our evening service, our special was by the Gentry Singers and Bro. Bob Huskey brought the message from Ephesians, chapter one. If you believe, you are sealed with the Holy Spirit of promises, we don’t have to fear we are in the hands of Jesus Christ. Have a life of joy because we are a child of the King.
