Black Oak Church

“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me,” John 14:6.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. He read Exodus 23:12-17 for the devotion then dismissed us to class.

We sang Happy Birthday to Betty Satterfield. We really appreciate Betty and all she does for the church and wish her many more birthdays.

Liviya Wharton, Macee Breeding and Quin Breeding all did the penny march for Camp Piland.

Brother Bobby Turley took up the tithes and offerings.

Pastor David sang then preached on Hell in the morning service. In the evening service he sang and preached from Matthew 24:3-13. There is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus. So many seem to think they have all the time in the world, but no one knows when their time is up. The sweet peace of knowing Jesus and having the Holy Spirit within our heart is the best life anyone can have. We choose everyday who we want to serve, God or Satan, and where we want to live when this life is over, heaven or hell. Please do not put it off too long. I pray you will find Jesus soon.

Please pray a special prayer for Sister Wilma Sanders and her family, also, the Turley family, Dana Brazeal and family, Shirley Riley, Quin Breeding, unsaved, unspoken, military, country and leader, and each other.

We had a praise given for children making it home safe from vacation. God wants us to share everything with him all the time. We cannot praise him enough.

Join us on Wednesday evening for Bible Study in James at 6:00 p.m.

May God bless you all this week. Remember as you get back to school to also get back to church.
