Hello from our home to your home. This place has been a busy place this week–well, you know, we had to get ready for our big celebration on June 28th and to my notion, it was a great sucess!
People, people, people, everywhere! Big, little, old and young, walking, sitting, riding, standing, enjoying and having a carnival of a good time. And then, as it was getting dark things began to blow up? Oh, what a blast! Red, yellow, blue, green, purple and rose were all raining down upon us in fountains and showers! So lovely! Beautiful beyond description! Our staff worked so hard getting ready and feeding the multitude, I know they were exhausted. They did a marvelous job!
Like many of the other people for such an ocassion, I had family to come and fortunately so because they pushed me around in my wheelchair to enjoy all the sights. Yes, James and Debbie and Maddie came for the big night and we had a good position to view the display. And there was a really nice breeze that made the temperature just perfect after such a hot, uncomfortable day.
Norma Stilling was here for piano music and Bro. Tom Hawkins read scriptures to everyone.
Larry Moore was here for Sunday School and in the afternoon Girdner Church was here for an awesome church service. Thanks to everyone who volunteers during the week to help us residents play games and to visit with us!
This is Monday, July 1st and seems like we all relaxed after our big celebration Friday night, then I happen to think, “why, the 4th of July isn’t even over yet and won’t be until after Thursday, the “real” 4th of July! Don’t you LOVE AMERICA!
Some of us have been cleaning house a little bit, you know, we must do some of that every few weeks or so.
My youngest son’s birthday is tomorrow. James is in his 50’s, but perhaps I shouldn’t say just how many, but he is a family treasure and blessing.
We would like to send our prayers and sympathy to the families of Kelly Brazeal, Ken Fitzgerald, Robert Nemeth, Leslie Stierlen, Pauline Schauffler, Harold Bock, Elizabeth Baechtold and Tillie Sanchez.
Congraulations to Darrold Evans, Macie Shireman, Grant Johnson and Jimmy Albrecht on getting to go home.
We would like to welcome new residents to our home. They are Lenora Burton and Fred Searcy.
God Bless You From Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center in Ava, MO.
