Opening prayer to start our morning service was by Doug Miller.

In our Sunday school lesson we studied about after captivity how the Israelites returned and restored the temple, when the foundation was done, they rejoiced, it represented the presence of the basics, back to the cross and start over.

Happy Birthday wishes went out to little Jade Young and Happy Anniversary wishes to Janice and George Young.

Remember all the prayer requests that were brought forth and Larry and Lynn Clayton and Willard and Wanda Short could really used your prayers at this time. Also the farmers could use some rain.

Our special song was by Pauline Welker, Wanda Casady and Bobbie Miller.

Don’t forget Gentry’s Bible School coming up July 15-19, 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., kids ages 3 to 12 years old.

Bro. Keith Lafferty was our guest speaker this morning. His message was from Matthew, chapter 21. When we enter our church we are to make our house where prayer and worship is, a place of healing and first and foremost our focus should be on Jesus Christ our Savior.

Gentry enjoyed going to the nursing home and singing Sunday afternoon.

Everyone enjoyed our Fourth of July dinner and fireworks display Friday evening. We thank Doug Miller and family for getting it all together.

In our evening service after prayer and singing, our special song was by the women’s group, Faye Allen, Wanda Casady, Charlotte Reich, Delores Young, Glenda Miller and Pauline Welker, also a reading by Bob Huskey.

Bro. Lafferty brought the message from Psalms 122. Let us go into the house of the Lord, peace will be within thy walls. We enjoyed having Keith and his wife joining us this Sunday in service.
