We gathered Wednesday at Caney Church to praise the Lord and study God’s word.
Sis. Lorrinda Coulter was our leader. She is an answer to our prayers. Sis. Janice Lafferty led in prayer. Lorrinda read Hebrews 10:1-18. We are so glad we are not under the law, but under grace. Christ was the supreme sacrifice and when we accept Him and repent He will not remember our sins. We had a great discussion on this reading. We certainly need His love, mercy, grace and forgiveness. It was a wonderful time of learning. We wish more could have been here.
Sunday school opened singing praises to the Lord. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Bro. Jeff Shipley led in prayer. Jack read Mark 12:38-44 for our devotion. Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received.
Praise and Worship hour began with testimonies from Jeff Shipley. Moving on to congregational singing. Special music given by Melissa Harmon. Pastor Bill Austin brought the morning message. His scripture was Luke 17:28-32 and II Peter 2:3-. We are living in a wicked time and our souls are troubled by what’s going on. We need to walk away from sin not looking back to our old ways and life. Remember Lot’s wife. God’s judgement is coming. Stand fast for God and truth. Our Sunday evening began with singing and prayer. Bro. Etcyl Coulter isn’t feeling good. We had prayer for him. Several other requests were given in and we had a good prayer. We all have so many loved ones that are unsaved. We had some good testimonies of praise. Bro. Jack brought our message tonight. He spoke on the 12th chapter of Psalms. This is a very timely chapter describing the world we live in this day and time. David started the chapter by saying, “Help! Lord, America sure needs help today.” This was a really good message. We were dismissed in prayer by Sister Lila.
