Caney Church News

Caney opened Wednesday evening with song. Bro. Jim Lafferty welcomed everyone to service. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Sis. Melba Austin led us in prayer. Jim read Galatians 6:1-10. He talked about hope. We have hope in Christ for our eternal life. He talked about how we should tell others about that hope. As usual we had a good time discussing and learning more about God’s word.

Sunday school opened with singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. Prayer requests and praise reports were received. Sis. Lila Roberts led in prayer. Jack read Ezra 5:1-5 for our devotion. After a good Sunday school lesson Maddie Shipley sang while offering was received.

Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jeff Shipley and Tracy Shipley and then we had congregational singing. Melissa Harmon did a special singing. Pastor Bill Austin spoke from Ephesians 3:14-21 and Philippians 3:18-21. All will bow before Christ. We pray you will bow before it is eternally too late. Don’t let things get between you and Christ. Don’t forget what God has done for you. Bow your head today and praise the Lord for all He’s done for you. It was a good message.
