These spring days are comfortable temperatures so far, vegetation is flourishing, lots of lawn mowing going on and gardeners enjoying fresh vegetables.
Roger and Lanell Long enjoyed peas and new potatoes from their garden and there are others in the area who have done the same.
Our prayers are for Hilda (Carter) Simpson who is very ill in West Plains extended care. Prayers are also for her husband, Jimmy, and their family.
Lilly Ridge Church VBS three night “Teen Worship Service” is Sunday night through Tuesday night for the 7th-12th grades. In July the ages 4th-6th grades will be the 21st -23rd nightly.
The church business meeting will be Sunday night June 9th following services.

Roger and Lanell went to Branson last week and daughter, Rhonda, met them there. They attended a show.

I heard our friend, Sylvia Carson, and daughter were here from North Pekin, Illinois last week and was sorry we didn’t meet. They were busy having family “get-togethers” over at a resort near Theodosia.
Dana Taylor came one day last week and mowed my yard and visited. She has a full schedule besides her animals care, helping others with yard work even carpentry and painting. She and her father-inl-law, Rev. J.C. Taylor in West Plains cleaned and repainted one of their houses.

The Lilly Ridge Cemetery annual meeting has been postponed to Sunday afternoon, June 23rd at 3:00 p.m. because of committee members conflicting events. It is usually held on the 2nd Sunday afternoon.
Neoma Moody enjoyed going with Eric and Lisa (Moody) Goetler, to visit her other granddaughter, Stephanie and husband, Dustin Tackett and children last week near West Plains.
