6-24-13. We were very busy last week getting ready for our yard and tool sale at Goodhope on the 20th through the 22nd, which was a ½ a day. The weather was perfect.

Bill and Sue Johnson from Claremore, Oklahoma and their friends, Charles and Carol Collier from Oklahoma. They are from the Oklahoma Baptist Church Builders Association. They worked hard for two long days getting the tools and etc. ready. They left today. They stayed in their R.V. here at my house.

My brother, Pete and wife, Sandra Jenkins from Fayetteville, Arkansas came up Friday to help us.

Saturday Sue Johnson, Carol Collier and Pete and Sandra went to Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center to see Peggy Jenkins. She was so happy to see them. Norma Cross went up to spend some time with her Thursday. She want to Wal-Mart to pick up some supplies for Peggy. She is making things for the Fourth of July Celebration.

Goodhope General Baptist attendance was 64. Susie Adams sang a special. Worship service opened with congregational singing then prayer requests. Pastor David used Revelation, chapter 3, verse 1-6, “Sardis Church known as a dead church.” Good preaching Dave.

Sue said she had what you call, “work day last two weeks.” One week her brother, Ron, Judy helped move furniture and shampoo carpets – whew! What a chore! This week they cleaned out the shop. Rodney and Kayli came out to help. I appreciate everyone for your help! Jerry and Ron also cut a tree for Sue.

Fifth Sunday Night Singing will be at Goodhope Nazarene Church, June 30th at 6:00 p.m. with snacks afterwards.

Sunday night services opened with prayer requests, congregational singing and testimonies.

Pastor David’s message was from Matthew 24:36-44, “The day and hour knoweth no man when the Lord doth come.”

The Richards cousins had a reunion Saturday the 22nd. These are Frank, Jim and Arthur Richards descendents. They had a good turn out. I will have a complete list in next weeks paper – names and etc.
