The morning service was opened with some very uplifting instrumentals and songs.

We then had some gospel hymns, followed by prayer requests and prayer also praises.

Sister Tillie Fowler sang a beautiful song and did a beautiful job of singing it.

Brother Roberts brought the message from I Thess. 4:13-18, “Second Coming of Christ.”

Sunday evening was our church fish fry. A large crowd enjoyed the fish and all the trimmings.

Several of our people were out sick. We are praying for their soon recovery.

Delmar and I have really been blessed with our daughters and friends coming to help us clean up after the flood.

Those coming to help were, Pauline Okhuysen, Julie Kookagey, Becky Carter, Beth Stafford, Keith and Donna Bannister, Bevy Moore, Johnathon Snelson, Mike Hamby, Joe and Wilma Hamby. Nora Edwards brought us a very good pasta salad to help out with feeding the helpers. Johnathon Snelson helped grandpa Delmar a lot.

We appreciate everyone who have been there for us and all the helping hands that has done anything that helped us. All the prayers, phone calls, food, elbow grease and hugs.Vern and Kathleen Deatherage had us out for a couple of cookouts at their cabin. He loves to cook over an open fire outside and we sure love to eat the tasty meals which result. I also, appreciate Mamma, Nora Hunsaker and Lee Williams for a bedroom to crash in.

We met Jack and Barb Breshears and Bob and Linda McCleary at McDonald’s one day for lunch then Jack and Barb came home with us for a visit. Until next week remember to let God hold the reins of your life.
