Sandy Church

I read in my devotion on Mother’s Day,  Mothers were the last in God’s creation.  After he made her, he said, now, I can rest.  Brad Siler, our Sunday School Superintendent, greeted all mothers present with a big happy mother’s day.  LeaAnn Crum had made beautiful corsages for all mothers to wear.  Next Sunday evening at 4 pm the men are doing a fish fry for all mothers and others.

Happy birthday was sung to Pastor Neal, who will celebrate on the 14th.

Kevin Hodges prayed the offertory prayer as he and Van Menzies received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.

Pastor Neal received a birthday card and love gifts from his church family.

Testimonies of praises were given.  Some shared a tribute to their mothers.

Baby bottle boomerang for Options Pregnancy Clinic will be going today.  700 bottles will be handed out in our community.  Pastor Neal showed a short film, “The Tree of Life”.  He read Psalm 127, “Children are a heritage from the Lord”.  He also read from I Chronicles 4, the prayer of Jabez and from Genesis 3 and Proverbs 31 concerning mothers.

At 6 pm, Pastor Neal prayed followed by singing and testimonies were given about trusting in our great and mighty God.

LeaAnn and Erin Crum sang.

Brother Van Menzies preached.  He began by saying, “Our God is a wonderful God.  He continued to teach us lessons.  He is a God of love.  How can we love Him back”?  He read from John, Romans and Colossians.  Backpack items were collected for Plainview School.

Each Tuesday at 7 pm we have special prayer meeting and each Wednesday at 7 pm we have Bible study.  Wednesday night the 22nd we will be cleaning the kitchen at White River Campgrounds.  Yes, soon it will be camp time again in the month of June; four camps will be held.

Friday, the 24th, at 4 pm is Kid’s night.  We will meet at 4 pm to fish at Bill and Mary Lou Hodges then come back to the church for food and other activities for the evening.
