If you were one of the folks who stopped by our “Fund Raiser” for Pialnd Youth Camp this past Saturday and either had your car washed or bought some item from the bake sale, we appreciate it so very much for your support of our effort to serve the young people who come for youth camp. It is our intention to present a godly environment to our young people and make it an enjoyable experience year after year. Without your help that effort is much more difficult. May God richly bless you for your kind assistance in this work.
If you were present in our morning worship service, you may have noticed the planned message, was not forthcoming. Instead the morning message to focus on the importance to the church of “Pentecost,” which by the way was this last Sunday. In fact, historically speaking, Pentecost was the first birthday of the “Christians Church.” We need a revival of that, “Baptism of the Holy Spirit,” which took place at that Pentecost to revitalize our churches today.
Next Sunday being Memorial Day Sunday, we will attempt to in some way honor those who have made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation and in doing so made it possible for us to live in the great Republic, we call the United States of America and enjoy the liberty and freedoms which are so rightly envied worldwide.
Please come and join us in praise to the Lord who provides us with all good things and who has blessed us as a nation because of the godly Christian principles incorporated into the Constitution of these United States. Join us also as we pray for the leadership of our nation, that they will return us to those good and godly principles which served our nation so well and so long, from which we have as a nation sadly turned away.
We hope you will come and join us in worship to the Lord Jesus Christ, the only hope of salvation for a lost and dying world. By the way, there is hope – He is that hope. Come and be blessed.
