Church of the Living God

Sunday morning, April 28, God has blessed us with a beautiful day.

Special requests for prayer were: Ronnie Norman, Donna and family, Colleen and Alberto.

The small kids had a song for us after Sunday school. We always enjoy the young ones, they are God’s future church.

The pastor’s message started out in Matthew 5:1-12. We all know about and have read the Beatitudes. We need to read them often, it tells us what to do to receive God’s blessings.

“What is life to you?” We want power, prestige, a good job, money, we want to be recognized and well thought of.

How do we want to appear unto God? God is the cornerstone we should build on.

John 3:1 tells us how to set our life in order, if we are not there yet.

Sunday evening service was great. We enjoyed having Michael Marah with us. He is one of the young men from the church who God called to preach. He visits us every chance he can.

John W. brought the evening message. God has called John into the ministry and we sure enjoy him.

His message was about judging people, I Corinthians 1-8. It is so easy to see other peoples faults when we have many of our own. Matthew 7:1-6 starts out by telling us,” Judge not, that ye be not judged. Only God is the judge.” It was a very good and moving message.

Prayer requests were for Zelda G. She is in the hospital, Bernie Hutchison’s family for the loss of a brother, Tina, Tiffany and baby Dralene and Pam R.

Come visit us at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave and N.W. 7th St.

Sunday morning Sunday school begins at 10 a.m., morning service at 11 a.m., evening at 6 p.m. and mid-week, Wednesday, at 7 p.m.

Good preaching, good singing and people who love the Lord.

We are connected with the world by Facebook, twitter, texting and etc, but how are we connected to God?
