Black Oak Church

“But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness’ and all these things shall be added unto you,” Matthew 6:33.

Everyone of us is looking for something to satisfy us. The only way to fill that void is with Jesus. God loves us, Jesus died to save us, and the Holy Spirit is waiting for us to accept Him into our heart so that he can lead us in the right direction. It was the best thing I ever did in my life.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang. He read the devotion then dismissed us to class.

Pastor David prayed for the prayer request. Please pray for Dana’s co-worker, Gene Pool, unpsoken, unsaved, Larry Burnett, The Turley Family, Betty and Jim Satterfield, Martin Hathcock and family, Tom Johnson family, John Little, Wanda Goss will have knee surgery Friday, country and leadrs, Piland Youth Camp, and each other.

We sang Happy Birthday to Pete Workman. We wish him many more and so appreciate him and his faithfulness to God and church.

Happy Birthday in May to Sara Maggard, Lois Grahan, Brad Adams, Becky Lakey, Zamber Little, Jaki Lafferty, Dara Strong and Keith Breeding.

Macee and Zoe did the penny march for Camp Piland.

Brother Bobby Turley took up the tithes and offerings.

Sister Angie Turley helped me in children’s church.

Pastor David sang then preached from II Timothy 3:1-8 for God’s message with the focus on verse 7. We are ever learning but still don’t get the truth of the word. God please help us know more of your word.

Sunday evening was singing, testimony, and poem night. We enjoyed it all.

May God bless you all this week.
