The sun is beautiful here this morning, but it is pretty cool.

Plainview played their last basketball games last Monday and Tuesday nights. They won one and lost one. We need to thank Melvin Bricker for all the work he does for our boys and girls.

There was a good attendance for the Sunrise service Sunday morning with Brother Jerry Hawkins bringing the message at Goodhope General Baptist Church. There was a pancake breakfast served after service. There was an Easter egg hunt after breakfast. All this happened inside because of the cold rain. Pastor David brought the morning message. Some people were late because the morning service was a little earlier than usual. There were several visitors.
Kelly, DeAnn, Kinsey, Kailey and Kyle Thompson, Norma Cross, Kenny Hunt and I had our Easter meal at the Krazy Daze Café. The Thompson’s came on down here to my place to build a place to keep Kinsey’s dog. While they were working on the dog house Norma, Kenny and I went down to the Jenkins Cemetery and worked on our sister’s grave. We just couldn’t get grass to grow on it last year because of the heat. We put fresh dirt and seeded it again.
Kailey had a couple of her friends, Autum and Abigail, who came over last evening. They had a weiner roast down by the branch where Dick had piled up some sticks from off the yard. Kelly had to get it started. They sat around the fire then came up to my house and camped out in my den. They had planned to stay in a tent, but decided it was too cold for that. I fixed them sausage gravy and biscuits for a late breakfast.
I appreciate everyone for the beautiful Easter cards I received last week.
