Our Sunday school lesson was on Living On Hope and to encourage those who put their faith in Jesus will again rise and be with Him.
There will be a Fourth Sunday Singing at the Ava General Baptist Church Sunday, April 28th at 2 p.m., also Gentry will not have Sunday night service.
April 28th Ramona Henning and friends will be singing for us at 11 a.m. service. Everyone is invited to come and hear them. Dinner after church.
In our Bible Study on Wednesday night at 6:30, we will be in Acts 18th chapter and showing video.
Many church members attended the 80th birthday celebration for Joanna Huffman along with a large crowd of relatives and friends. She expressed her appreciation to everyone.
My son, Keith, and I were going to attend the funeral service of Harold McGinnis in Marshfield Thursday, but could not get out because of the high water. His burial was in the Lutie Cemetery at Theodosia.
In our morning service, Gentry welcomed guest speaker, Bro. Tom Hodge, and his message was from II Timothy, chapter 3. We live in perilous and dangerous times. Some are never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. The truth is Jesus died for you and me.
In our evening service, we had special songs by Gentry Singers and Pauline Welker.
Bro. Hodge’s message was from Matthew, chapter 22. We should not ever be too busy to reach out to the lost, sometimes we are received and sometimes not. Many are called but few are chosen. We appreciate Bro. Hodge for coming and preaching for us.
