4-7-13. Spring is finally here I believe and God’s beauty is all around us this morning. Sunshine is here and birds are singing. At night the frogs sing us a lullaby. How I love this time of year.

Our Sunday School lesson began with the reading of Psalms 93. Opening prayer is given by Glen Dale Robertson. Our lesson is from II Corinthians the 2nd chapter. Paul is encouraging us to be glad while serving Christ and be ready to forgive. If we don’t forgive another in Christ, it opens a door for Satan to take advantage of us. This is stated in verse 11. This chapter ends with Paul telling the church in verse 17: “For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God; but as of sincerity of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.” If a Christian can’t fogive in Christ, Satan will use this to keep you cast down and your focus will be on your sorrow rather than serving Jesus Christ. Satan can’t harm you with using his devices even if he has caused a close loved one to hurt you, tell him to leave you alone in the name of Jesus. Satan has to go and your steps in serving Christ become easier and easier as you learn and grow in His word. Praise God we don’t have to walk this journey alone.

We are privileged to have Gideons, Bro. Bill Coats and Bro. Glen Dale Robertson who blessed us with songs and beautiful guitar and banjo picking. God has truly blessed them with musical talent and testimoney that can help so many by spreading the word of God and providing Bibles and New Testaments to populations. Thousands of lives have been changed by the word of God by these distribution efforts. Some very well may have not been able to get a Bible without this work of God. We appreciate Bro. Bill for sharing so many testimonies of different ones whose lives were changed and they went on to be soul winners for Jesus thus spreading the hope of salvation by Jesus Christ to even more people. Praise God for those who are willing to sacrifice their time to try and make a difference to those who are hell bound if their choice is to not accept our Savior Jesus Christ we appreciate you all.

Brother “Cub” took a sermon from St. John chapter 20 verses 30 and 31 and verses from chapter 21. Miracles that Jesus showed to His disciples after He was resurrected. Those that traveled with Jesus did not immediately recognize Him but their eyes and their hearts came to know who He was when He was ready for it to be so. He is still the same today and when He quickens you to realize that He is calling you to salvation, please accept Him. You may not get another chance.

Well folks, have a good week and do remember our second Friday night singing is 4-12-13. Bring some food and the desire to have fellowship and a good time in the Lord.
