Black Oak Church

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour,” I Peter 5:8.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday school after we sang He read John 15:1-7 for the devotion then dismissed us to class. We missed Sister Shirley Riley who was visiting relatives. We appreciate her work at the church and everyone that comes. God needs us all.

We sang Happy Birthday to Liviya Wharton and wish her many more. She is quite a blessing to us. She loves church and the Lord.

Brother Bobby Turley took up the tithes and offerings.

Preston Adams and Hunter Adams did the penny march for Piland Youth Camp. We thank God for our helpers.

Sister Angie and I are helping the children get to know Jesus.

Pastor David preached God’s message from Matthew after he sang. The devil is taking our children from us. He is tricking them into doing things for him. Parents and grandparents be aware of what he is doing and fight it.

Please pray for our prayer list. God is answering prayers in our church family.

Sister Ella Faye Mitchell sang a special Sunday evening. Pastor David sang then preached God’s message from Galatians 11:1-12. There is only one true gospel and one true God.

So many are deceived by what society is accepting as okay and by what is seen on tv and movies. Please read the Bible so you can know the acceptable way to live.

May God forgive us all and bless you all greatly.
