Talapha Mae Gellenbeck, 94

Talapha Mae Gellenbeck passed away on March 3, 2013  at Glenwood Health Care Center, Seymour, Mo.  She was born Feb. 20, 1919 in Milford, Ind.  She resided in Indiana until 2000 when she moved to Ava, Mo. to be near her  beloved stepdaughter, Mary Gibson, and step-grandchildren.  Then in 2003 she move to Glenwood Health Care where she lived until her death.
Mae was preceded in death by her parents, both of her husbands, two sons, one daughter, one stepson, one stepdaughter and two sisters, one granddaughter and one great-great-granddaughter.
Mae is survived by one son, Ronald Gellenbeck, of  Florida; three daughters, Marie Slatton of Texas, Judy Black, and Kathy Ulery of Indiana; one daughter-in-law Betty Truesdell, of Indiana, and one stepdaughter, Gladys Nezat, of Texas.  Mae is survived by 29 grandchildren, 76 great-grandchildren and 48 great-great grandchildren, plus nieces, nephews and many nurses who have cared for her during her long illness.
Mae is also survived by five step-grandchildren, Mary Jo, David, Denise, Kevin and Noel Mitchell, of Mansfield, Mo., who have been her caregivers for the last 13 years.
Funeral services are under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home, Mansfield, Mo.  The funeral will be Thursday, March 7 at 1:30 p.m in the funeral home with visitation between 12:30 p.m. and 1:30 p.m. preceding the funeral.  There was also a visitation on Wednesday evening, March 6, between 6 and 7:30 p.m.
