Today, March 10, we had Children’s Church. We have many new families attending bringing lots of children with them. We appreciate their dedication in attending and letting their children sing specials. Upcoming Events: Senior Retreat, contact Pat Moore. Easter Sunday, March 31, plan to come to Sunday School at 10 a.m. and enjoy donuts, fruit, juice, and coffee. We will observe Communion during the worship hour 11 a.m., and foot washing at 7 p.m. Choir Special: “I’ll Live On”. Rick and Helen had the morning special, and Virginia Serghides the evening special. Birthdays: Hanna Prock and Shelby Housley. Prayer requests: Servicemen: Carry Gates, Mr. and Mrs. Steven Gates, Tyler McIntosh, Weston McIntosh, and Leslie Anderson. Cancer Patients: Imogene Williams, Sue Lathrom, Sue Hefner, Jack Lawler, Amber Junge, Jerry Snow, Ellen Buttram, Joe Moore, Donna Strain, Delores Shelton, Jerry Lee, and Becky Cottengim. Lola Dennis is feeling better, but she has to take it easy for a while. Billie Marler –Jimmie’s twin has Menier’s disease of the ear canal, Kenny Northcutt had surgery this week- Tammi Housley’s uncle. Van and Sharon Renfrow have been under the weather. Vic Mills has serious burns on his hand and had to have a graft this week. From the bulletin: People can make idols out of virtually anything. People turn good things evil by making them ultimate things. People do this with everything from their children to providing for the needs of their family. All of these are good and admirable pursuits, but nothing can take the place of the Lord Jesus in our lives. (I have been sick since early February, and with lots of tests have found out I have pneumonia). I will do longer article as I get well.
