Tom and Jewell Johnson have been facing some very serious health issues lately. Many people have prayed for them, hoping for a full and complete recovery. We were glad to hear that both of them were better. We learned that Tom had been moved into a hospital room. Jewell has been at home and some of those visiting with her were Freeda Holt, Janice Keith, Claud Robertson, and Tommy Roberts. Tom and Jewell both will tell you how grateful they are for their fine family. Lowell and Larry have done so much for their parents and they tell you that their parents have done so much for them.

Billy Fletcher had attended Star Workers Homemakers Club, Thursday, at Carol Riggs’s. TOPS had conducted a garage sale at Billy’s home last Thursday and Friday.

Debra Bohnstedt and Linda Rabe of Springfield came Thursday to attend Nubbin Ridge Club with Norma Stillings. The Nubbin Ridge Club had the annual “Show and Tell” where people show their handiwork. Debra and Linda managed to stop at a couple of quilt shops during the day also.

Norma made visits to the Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center and Rocky Ridge to play the piano and visit with residents. She also attended a meeting of the “Go Blue” Child Abuse Awareness Committee. April is Child Abuse Awareness month and a number of events are being planned including a “Fun Day” at Ava Schools.
