March 3 – Sunday school opened with congregational singing. Bro. Jack Essary welcomed everyone. He took prayer requests and praise reports. Bro. Jim Lafferty led our hearts in prayer. Jack read Daniel 6:25-28 for our devotion. We had a good Sunday school lesson today. We combined our two adult classes. It was in interesting discussion of the last days. We sang Happy Birthday to Bro. Jack Essary. God bless him. Maddie Shipley sang while offering received.
Praise and Worship began with testimonies from Jim Lafferty, Jeff Shipley and Melba Austin.
Congregational singing began the service. Singing today were Betty and Melissa Harmon.
Pastor Bill Austin brought the morning message from Gen. 3:9-11, Psalms 103:1-5, 1 Peter 4:12-13. Don’t listen to Satan.
It’s very easy to blame others or something our failures or where we fall short. When we fail to do God’s will, without forgiveness we will be cast in the lake of fire. When we trust in the Lord there are many benefits. We will have trials, but God will give us strength and courage and go with us through them. A thought provoking message.
We were greatly blessed to have at Caney the Goodhope Pickers: Bill Coats, Glen Dale Robertson, Dwight Armour, Jim Hale and those joining them in fellowship were Jim Porter, Harley Ferguson, Jim Lafferty, and Jimmy Lafferty. You could not find better musicians or singers anywhere, but more importantly they witnessed for Christ and used their talents for Him.
If you weren’t here, you missed a blessing.
