Annette Copeland’s 4th grade class at Ava Elementary School recently proved that they all have very big hearts. The students decided they wanted to do something to help kids like themselves, so they worked together and raised funds to provide some necessities for the children of the Wright County Children’s Home. The large gift bag was stuffed with all kinds of useful items including socks and school supplies. Children’s Home administrator, Jeremy Eden, said “It’s great to know that these children not only care about others their age, but are willing to do something real to help them!” The staff, residents, and administration of the Wright County Children’s Home appreciated the kind gift very much. Wright County Children’s Home is a private 501(c)3 organization located in Norwood, which provides emergency residential care for children ages 6-18 from all around the state of Missouri.
