Don't Miss

Sandy Church

Last Weeks News – We stood and read our devotional from Romans 8.  Many prayer requests were shared.  As always, there is so much to pray about—our nation, our leaders, our military, the sorrowful, the sinful and needy.  LeaAnn Crum led us in this prayer time.

Happy birthday was sung to McCoy Humbyrd, the two-year old son of Aaron and Jenin Humbyrd, grandson of Stan and Kim Humbyrd, great-grandson of Peggy Miller and Doyle and Frances Humbyrd, all in our church family.  The God Lord’s faithfulness continues through all generations.

Several testimonies were given about our Great God.

Rhonda Dobbs sang.

Pastor Neal prayed and read from Luke 23, the daughters of Jerusalem.  Jesus said, “Weep not for me, but weep for yourselves and your children”.

Paul Duckworth prayed the closing prayer and asked the blessing on our noon meal, a fellowship dinner for birthdays and anniversaries for the month of February. We were so glad for our visitors, Duane and Jerri Martin and sons and Brad and Linda Mayberry.  Come again.

Our 6 p.m. service began with prayer by Pastor Neal and singing.

LeaAnn Crum sang.

We had special prayer for Richard Mitchell.

Pastor Neal continued to read in Luke 23, the story of the penitent thief on the cross.  Jesus said, “Today shall you be with me in paradise”.

Come and be with us in prayer meeting Tuesdays at 7 p.m. and Bible study Wednesdays at 7 p.m.

This Weeks News – We had special prayer time at 9:30.  Our devotional reading was from Psalm 107 at 10 a.m.  Prayer requests were given for Eldon Hodges and Richard Mitchell.  Kim Humbyrd prayed this prayer.

Happy birthday was sung to Judy Wilson, our church clerk.  She keeps our records and pays our bills among several other duties.  She does a great job.  Thank you, Judy.

Testimonies were shared about our great God by Stan Humbyrd and Harold Menzies.

A thank you card was read from Gale and Wanda Osburn.

After Sunday school, we came for worship.  Jim Harris prayed the offertory prayer as he and Stan Humbyrd received our Lord’s tithes and offerings.

Again, testimonies were shared praising our Lord.

Makinna Humbyrd sang.

Pastor Neal prayed and read from Luke 23, the burial of Jesus, a story of life, not death.

At 6 p.m., we began with prayer by Pastor Neal followed by singing and special singing by Danny Johnson and LeaAnn and Erin Crum.

Pastor Neal read from Luke 24, the resurrection of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior.

Friday night at 6 p.m. is the Kid’s Night.  Stan and Kim Humbyrd will do a special program with the kids while the older ones will watch a video.

Each Tuesday at 7 p.m. is special prayer time.  Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. is Bible study in the book of Exodus.  We are studying about the tabernacle.  Pastor Neal does a great job teaching with anointing the word.  Come and be with us.  You are always welcome.
