Mrs. Luene B. Johnson, 79

Mrs. Luene Johnson, 79 of Taneyville, died Monday, Jan. 28, 2013 in the Ozark Riverview Manor, Ozark.  Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31 in the Kissee-Schofield-Eakins Funeral Home.  Funeral Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1 in the White River Association, Taneyville, with the Rev. David Holvick officiating.  Burial will be in the Patterson Cemetery, Bradleyville.
Belva Luene Johnson was born Saturday, April 29, 1933 in Bradleyville, Mo., to White and Dovie (Combs) Yeary.  She graduated from the Bradleyville High School, class of 1952.  She lived in Springfield and Kansas City and worked in a garment factory and did clerical work at Standard Oil.  She moved back to Bradleyville in 1959. Luene and her longtime school friend, Don Johnson, were married on July 9, 1960 in Harrison, Ark.  She was a homemaker and later worked for Fasco Industries in Ozark and retired after 15 years.
Luene was a collector of mementos such as Christmas cards and personal notes.  She also enjoyed playing the guitar and singing gospel.  In her quiet time she enjoyed fish fries, gardening, watching Wheel of Fortune and her grandchildren.  She was a playful grandmother that loved to laugh and be very caring and sensitive to her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Donald Johnson; two sons, Duane Johnson and wife, Cathy of Taneyville, Greg Johnson and wife, Kelly of Bradleyville; one daughter, Debbie Johnson of Ozark; four brothers, Wayne Yeary of Bradleyville, James Yeary and wife, Betty of Nixa, Danny Yeary and wife, Vicki of Ava, Mike Yeary and wife, Sherry of Forsyth; one sister, Maxine Mason and husband, Bob of Bradleyville; five grandchildren, Darrell, Brett, Zach Johnson, Vanessa Garnsey and Beverly Parent; and four great-grandchildren, Grace Johnson, Carter Garnsey, Eden Garnsey and Olivia Johnson.
She is preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Harvey and Harold “Harlan” Yeary.
