Sunday, February 10, 2013. God has blessed us with another beautiful day. The prayer requests this morning were for Bevy’s father, Gary’s son, Linda P., Norma J., unspoken, Reba N., Bevy, our country and our leaders. God is the only salvation to this world’s problems.
We had a very good Sunday school lesson. We are in the book of James.
The first chapter was about patience. That takes a lot of prayer when we are tempted, but God is there.
Verse 19 is one that should be practiced all the time, the scripture says, swift to hear, slow to speak and slow to wrath. Do we have those confused?
We all need to read and reread the first chapter of James, the conduct of true religion, God is love an holiness, as we should be also.
The morning message was a very good one, Psalms 149, verse one says, “Praise ye the Lord,” going on, be joyful, sing praises to Him, for the Lord takes pleasures in his people. Do we praise Him enough? I think not. We are to praise him in all thiings.
Ephesians 6:10, “be strong, verse 17 tells us, “put on the whole armour of God.” Satan never takes a holiday, we need to be prepared at all times.
Being a Christian isn’t just a Wednesday night, Sunday morning and Sunday night, it’s 24-7, 7 days a week, 12 months a year. Do we fall short?
Pastor Gary had the first part of preaching and then we were blessed with Michael Marah.
Acts 2:1, being in one accord. Come into his house, worship in one accord.
Michael said, “We have to know who is in charge of our life, God is, not us. We are not a big thing in this life. Without God, where would we be?”
Michael is always a joy to have in our church.
God has blessed him, we enjoy his sermons.
Come see us at the corner of N.W. 6th Ave. and 7th St.
