Wanda (Brooke) Moore, 91

Wanda Maxine (Brooke) Moore, 91 years, passed to heaven on Nov. 4, 2012 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare, Ava, Mo.
Wanda was born Oct. 13, 1921 in Douglas County, Mo., to Shirley and Sarah (Dollar) Brooke.
Wanda was a homemaker and lived most of her life in the Girdner community south of Ava.
On Dec. 14, 1944 Wanda and Lonnie Harrison Moore were united in marriage in Mtn. Home, Ark., and to this union three children were born.
Wanda was a Christian and a devoted member of the Girdner Church. Her faithfulness was to her Lord and Savior, her church and her family. Wanda enjoyed cooking, sewing, reading, gardening and watching her birds. Most of all she loved being with all her family. In her last years she enjoyed her home at The Heart of the Ozarks and shared her faith with many. Wanda loved and was loved by all who knew her.
Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Lonnie in 2005, three brothers, Kenneth, Voyne and Shirley Jr. Brooke, and one sister, Barbara Schmoker.
Wanda is survived by three children and their spouses, Gary and Bevy Moore, Wilda and Leon Potter, all of Ava, Mo., and Kyle Moore, of Springdale, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; one step granddaughter; eight great-grandchildren and one on-the-way; three step great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; one brother, Stanley Brooke, Springfield, Mo.; many nieces, nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Wanda were Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo., with burial in the Girdner Cemetery.
Visitation was Tuesday from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home. Officiating were Pastor Dwight Wilson and Pastor Jeff Smith. Memorials may be made to Girdner Cemetery or donors’ choice of charity.
