Veva Louise Hann, 71

Veva Louise Hann was born Oct. 22, 1941 to Merle Ira Mann and Evelyn Faye (Crum) Mann in El Centro, Calif. She graduated from Brawley High School in 1960 and met and married Keith Robert Hann the next year. They moved to Ava in 1964 following his discharge from the Navy.
Veva was a prominent artist and sign painter in Ava who served many organizations in town with her creative designs and artwork. She earned her CNA and LPN licenses while working for Chastain’s Nursing Home for 11 years. Veva had spent her adult life in Ava except for 13 years she returned to Brawley, Calif. to care for her ailing mother.
Samples of her artwork have been donated to the Ava Art Gallery.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband; also her two grandsons Patrick Stewart and Robert Andrew Hann.
She is survived by her children: Samy Sprague of Ava, and Jeb Hann, of Joplin. She leaves six grandchildren: Hamar Hann, Amanda Ambrose, and Miranda Young of Springfield, Ashton Young of Grandview, Jared Young of Ava, and Holly Hann of Hemet, Calif.  She also adored her great-grandchildren: Ericka and Isaac Hann, Makayla and Michael Ambrose, and Xander Young.
Services were held at 9:30 Saturday at the LDS Church.
