Mt. Tabor Church

It was a great day to worship, thankful for those who came. We had so many to pray for, our children, grandchildren, the military, the bereaved, our camp, as well as our church and the lost. Be thankful for our abundant blessings.

Brother Ric was away for the weekend, and we appreciate Brother Richard and Molly Potter who were guests, in both services. Brother Richard read Ephesians 4 and spoke of us walking worthy of our vocation. It was a very good message and we certainly appreciate Brother Richard filling in with another good message in our Heart of the Ozarks service in the afternoon.  We had an excellent turnout, great participation from our church, the listeners and visitors. Again, we appreciate Norma Stillings for being our piano player, what a great job she does.

The report from Teen Retreat at Camp Piland was that they had a good number, good speakers, and a great time of fellowship. We appreciate those who donate their time and effort for this great cause.

Bessie Hall has had lots of visitors this past week: Lloyd Tate, Carla Wilson, Don Bryan, Tom and Jewell, J.C. and Vicky, Betty Jenkins, Lenore Burton, Imogene Madewell, Lisa and Jesse, James Elliott, Kay Hutchison, Dan and Kim Clements and Morgan.

Mae Cox’s company this week was Mitchell Peebles, Lisa Johnson and Jesse and Tom and Donna Nichols.  Mae’s sister, Golda Dixon, had the misfortune of falling and having two cracked ribs, our best to her.

Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock visited Wes and Pat Smith, Sunday afternoon. Martin has been busy with his fall cutting of hay.

Jewell Elliott was among a group of ladies going to Lebanon to participate in a bowling tournament, Saturday and Sunday.

MaKayla and Logan Elliott spent Thursday after school with Tom and Jewell Elliott. Shawn and LeAnna came by later to pick them up.

Harlin Hutchison came to Ava Saturday and spent the afternoon with his parents, Harold and Kay Hutchison. They all enjoyed lunch together, plus Morgan Clements. Kim Clements came by later in the afternoon.
