We are really excited that our oldest son, Jerry Inman (who lives at Dogwood) will be one of the evangelists preaching the annual tent revival at Elkland, which will be held August 22-26. It will be held on the main street of Elkland, 7 p.m. nightly. Bob Holden will be our song leader with special music nightly. Those preaching will include: Wednesday, Aug. 22- Jim Jones, Thursday, Aug. 23- Jerry Inman, Friday, Aug. 24- David Hartwell, Saturday, Aug. 25- Don Givans (formerly of this neighborhood), Sunday, Aug. 26 (11 AM)- Scott Fraker and Sunday, Aug. 26 (7 PM Service)- Bob Holden. It will be great to see several from this neighborhood participating in the revival sponsored by the Elkland Independent Methodist Church.

I have heard great reviews about the new restaurant that has opened on the Main Street of Fordland. Elaine Parny, a dear friend and neighbor, and her husband have opened this new establishment. Her husband is such a great chef and I had some dear friends tell me that everything there was so nice and delicious. I am anxious to stop by. They have always been supportive of Olga and Kindall Store.

Our prayers this week continue for the family of Ruth Casewell. Ruth was such a longtime friend and an active worker in this community for many years. She and her late husband lived for many years on a farm not far from Olga and we became friends when she moved to Fordland. We have shared many good times together over the years. I remember one time when we took a group from Fordland down to Vera Cruz for the Civil War renactment that took place there. It was such a great trip and I believe that Imogene Sartin, Pam Moore and grandson Nicholas went along as well. Ruth worked for many years at the quarter store on 60 Highway and she will be missed by this community and by her many dear friends.

I understand that both the Dogwood School Reunion and the Wagoner School Reunion were huge successes this year. The Wagoner School reunion took place at the fire station in Olga. My Dad (Philip Hargis) always attended this reunion. Shirley Smith gave a good report to me about it this year. The Dogwood School Reunion took place at the Bruner Community Building.

Our oldest daughter, Janice Morris recently invited me to spend a day with her and her youngest daughter, Cecilia. We shopped all over Springfield and ended up in Ozark (where Janice and her family reside) and there I found just what I was looking for. You know how we ladies like to shop! I appreciated the great day, girls.

We sure could use some more rain on the south side of the county. May we continue to ask the Lord for showers of blessings.

Hope this writing finds you well this week. We hope to see you out this way in the near future. You are always welcome and I know that you would enjoy the many scenic spots along the way. God Bless until next time.
