Black Oak Church

“I have no greater joy than to hear that my children walk in truth,” 3 John 4.

Brother Roy Frye opened Sunday School after we sang. He read James 2:1-5 for the devotion. Pastor David prayed then Brother Roy dismissed us to class.

Please pray for the families of CR Woolman, Bob Barnum, Quinton Bradshaw and all bereaved, John Little and family, Pete Turley and family, Freda Clayton, Tiffany, Ralph, Wilma, Barbara Decker, Dara and family, country, leaders, military, VBS, Camp Piland and the souls that were saved during camp, unspoken, unsaved, Betty and family, and each other.

Quin Breeding took up the tithes and offerings. He, Bryse Dodson, Hunter Adams, Dailyn Stanifer and Macee Breeding all did the penny march to Camp Piland.

We sang Happy Birthday to Betty Satterfield and Happy Anniversary to John and Zamber Little. We love and appreciate all of them.

The children studied about angels.

Hunter Adams sang a special for us. We had good testimonies.

Pastor David sang then preached from Acts 20:7, 12 and Revelations 21:5-8, Revelation 19:7, 21:2, Romans 13:11, Mark 13:22, 26 and Matthew 25:1-13 on the Christians being asleep. The lost are asleep to the fact that they are lost. It is time for everyone to wake up and turn to Christ.

Jo Stephens played the guitar for our evening worship singing. Ella Faye Mitchell blessed us with a song.

Pastor David sang then preached from 3 John 1-4. He asked, “Do we say we want more of God, but leave our  Bible on the table and pick up the phone or television remote instead?” We can have as much of God as we want. There is jealousy in church. We should be happy for those we see growing in the Lord. We should pray for each other and love each other in the Lord.

Our Bible School is Saturday 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. with our program Sunday night at 6:00 p.m. All helpers that can please meet Donna at the church at 9:00 Thursday morning.

Please join us if you need a church family. We miss these who were gone and are so thankfu for all the new ones coming in. May God bless you all.
