I talked with Bonnie Phipps Sunday night and she said she had gone to church that morning and she told me about her flower which we call the naked lady, she said it had a few stalks to come up earlier, but just fell over and then it was mowed down and she looked Saturday night when she was watering her other flowers and there was some more of her naked lady’s popping up, so she watered them.

I had some to come up the middle of July and they weren’t strong enough to stand and they fell over, but when I got that 1.8 inch of rain they started popping up in a row and blooming.

Tara brought Jett over last Monday and we had lots of fun. Violet came that day and picked up her eggs for that week. I took my news in last Tuesday and voted while there and I stopped by Marie Dickey’s and visited with her until Wanda picked her up to go vote. I went and got me some stamps and while I was over that way I dropped by Mary Ann Hathcock’s, but didn’t stay long because she was doing therapy.

Tuesday evening I went back over to the American Legion Hall to meet Euneeda Lynn when she came to vote and gave her a bread starter and some rolls I had already made.

Those attending Wednesday night Bible study were Nina Carter, Don and Evelyn Bryan, Martin Hathcock, Rick and Lisa Engelhardt and Hellen Blakey.

Thursday when I delivered eggs in town I went by Charlotte Bock’s, but she wasn’t home and then I went on over to Anita Smith’s and visited with her before coming on home.

Those from Ava going to the Stained Glass Theatre on Friday night were Nina Carter, Hellen Blakey, Don and Evelyn Bryan, James and JJ Christensen, Daisy, Elijah, Katty and her girlfriend amd JJ’s mother, Gleena Young and Rick and Lisa Engelhardt. When we got up there my sister, Margaret Allen and her daughters Brenda Henslee and Monica Reemes and two other couples met us. The title of the play was “Elijah.” I think everyone enjoyed it. I saw some old friends that used to live in Ava and one that use to work in the jewelry department at Wal-Mart.

I went down to Mark and Sherry’s Saturday and I got some of his tomatoes, cucumbers and green beans and I brought some eggs back with me.

Sunday I dropped some eggs off at Martin and Mary Ann Hathcock’s house and I stopped by and saw Jett, Tara and Justin before I came home.

Lets keep those prayers going for our sick folks because they are working.

My prayers and sympathy goes out to the ones who have lost a loved one.

Lets keep our leaders and the men and women in the service and their families and the ones in training in our prayers.
