Gentry Church

Opening prayer to start our morning service was by Joie Welker.

In this week’s Sunday school lesson we learned from II Samuel 23rd chapter that David, Israel’s greatest king was able to rule Israel with justice by following of God’s guidelines and by loving and obeying the Lord, he received his blessings.

It is good to see Harley and Faye Allen back in church, they were really missed

Happy Anniversary wishes went out to George and Janice Young on 46 years of marriage and good to see their daughter, Robin and husband, Craig Denney, in church with them. Also the children of George and Pauline Welker hosted them a wedding anniversary celebration July 7 for their 65th year of marriage. Many attended and enjoyed the food and fun.

Happy Birthday wishes went out to Josh Allen.

Our special song was by Pauline Welker, Bobbie Miller and Wanda Casady.

Well it is that time again for our Gentry Bible School July 16th-20th, Monday through Friday, 6-8 p.m. Our theme is “Sonrise National Park”.

Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Luke 13:1-5, “Getting Back To Salvation.” Luke was preaching the gospel, except you repent of your sins, ye all likewise shall perish.

We have been having many visitors and want them to know how much they are appreciated and welcome everyone back to worship with us.

In our evening service, our special song was by Janice Young, Wanda, Joie and Rod Welker.

Narvil and Beverly Tetrick attended the Tetrick Reunion last weekend and enjoyed visiting with relatives and friends.

My son, Kevin, and I attended the Starvy Creek Bluegrass Festival at Conway, MO. last weekend and met with good friends, Lena and Jerry Wagner. There was a big crowd even if the weather was so hot. We heard a lot of good music.

Bro. Hall’s evening message was from II Timothy 3:1-12. In the last days perilous times shall come, but continue in the things the holy scriptures has taught and instructions in righteousness.

We want to praise the good Lord for sending us rain and answering our prayers.
