Opening prayer to start out our morning service was by Doug Miller.
Our Sunday school lesson was on “Rules For Just Living.” These simple rules are truthfulness, thoughtfulness, and consistant impartiality should be our guide for all dealing in life. It is not okay to compromise with the world. We have a good shepherd, Jesus to follow.

Wendell and Virginia Deo will be traveling to Iowa this week for their son’s surgery.
We have good praise reports, Harley Allen came through surgery fine and expected to come home this week. And the little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Rocky Valentine received a heart transplant and is doing well at this time. Prayer is powerful. A benefit softball tournament is planned for Saturday the 23rd to help with expenses.
Gentry Youth is planning a trip to the Springfield Zoo Saturday, June 9 beginning at 10 a.m. and lunch will be provided.
Best wishes goes out to Ella May Huskey as she goes in for cataract surgery this week.
Joanne Welker and family hosted a 60th Surprise Birthday Party for Rod at their home Saturday evening. Rod’s old army buddy, Bob Booker, and wife, Marsha, from Indiana came to help surprise him along with many others, lots of fun with food and games was enjoyed.
Pastor Hall’s morning message was from I John, chapter 5:1-13. We need to stand on the word of Christ. Jesus meant what he said, if people doubt, they will never move forward. God will give you assurance.
