Opening prayer to start our services was led by Joie Welker.
In our Sunday school class we studied about Jesus cleansing the temple in John, chapter 2. It is important for us to revere the house of God. When we disrespect God’s house we dishonor the God whose presence is in that place.
Our special song and reading was by Janice Young and Narvil Tetrick. April 20th at 7 p.m. is our Third Friday Night Singing at Gentry.
Remember Sue Thomas in your prayers as she starts radiation treamtents this week. Also our sympathy goes out to Jeannie Miller and family in the loss of her father.
Wayne and Pam Henderson and her sister, Nancy from Independence, MO. visited me this week and we attended the World Fest at Silver Dollar City then we took in the Baldknobbers Music Show. Also visiting us was Jack Ritter.
Good to see Joanna Huffman able to be back in church after her back surgery.
Pastor Hall’s morning message was from Acts 24:5-16 I Am One Of Them. The Jews were saying Paul profames the temple, but Paul never apologized, He said he would worship and continue to teach the word of God and believe all things. We must be soul winners.
In the evening service after congregational singing Bro. Hall’s messaage was from John 10:1-18. I am the door and by me if any man enter in He shall be saved. Aren’t we glad as sheep we have a good shepherd who leads us.
